Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hasoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences at Hasan Kalyoncu University, has been honored with the 2024 Alumni Achievement Award by Western Michigan University (WMU), where he completed his graduate studies. Prof. Dr. Hasoğlu received this prestigious award in recognition of his academic and professional contributions following his graduation, bringing pride to our faculty.
The award is granted annually by the WMU College of Arts and Sciences to a select number of alumni to honor their achievements in their careers and academic endeavors. Prof. Dr. Hasoğlu, who served as a research assistant at WMU between 2002 and 2008 and completed his graduate studies there, has since participated in significant academic work both nationally and internationally.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Prof. Dr. Hasoğlu was unable to attend the award ceremony held on October 25, 2024. However, he expressed his gratitude to the WMU College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Physics for the plaque and gifts sent to him after the event. Prof. Dr. Hasoğlu stated that he was deeply honored to receive this meaningful award and emphasized the crucial role that the education he received at WMU played in his career journey.
