The FireFiles Team from Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ), which has been a continuous academic partner of TEKNOFEST, recognized as the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, won the “Best Commercialization Potential” award in the “University and Above” category at the TEKNOFEST Tourism Technologies Competition held in Antalya, with their suitcase tracking device project, “THY-Bul.”
The THY-Bul (Suitcase Tracking Device) project, developed by the FireFiles team, aims to solve the common issues of lost or misdirected luggage in air travel by ensuring the traceability of the luggage at every stage of the journey. It is designed to improve the operational processes of airline companies and enhance the travel experience for passengers, making it safer and more comfortable.
Congratulating the FireFiles Team on their success at TEKNOFEST 2024, HKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli said: “Our students’ development of such an innovative project with great sectoral potential demonstrates their determination and diligence.
